The Obama Golden Age
Timothy Birdnow
Fellow St. Louisan Randall Hoven explains why the BHO is doing so well politically - it's that he's riding the wave created by Bush and the GOP. By that, Hoven means that the policies put in place during the Bush years are setting parameters for the Obama.

As Hoven points out, we are actually left of Canada, Australia, and Luxemberg, so becoming Europe is a moot point; we already ARE Europe.
While he is absolutely correct in terms of the numbers, what we are discussing is the long-range effects of the anointed on America. Sure, we haven't had any catastrophe's YET, but they are coming. His puddingesque soft foreign policy will take decades to fix, for example, and his profligate spending comes at a time we cannot afford it. Anybody who has a credit card knows that there is a point where you lose control, where it becomes impossible to pay the debt. We are at that point, and we are stuck with this fellow who is in left field, blissfully unaware of the peril we face.
We need Ronald Reagan more than ever, but I doubt we'll find him.
