Venison Contraception
Leave it to Blue State liberals to fail at basic common sense; this AP story about a hare-brained plan to use contraceptives on deer illustrates my point perfectly!
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is prepared to waste taxpayer money to restrict deer reproduction when they could simply extend the hunting season and let the pests be shot (the deer, not the Iowa DNR officials). Sportsmen would eat well and would put money into the Iowa treasury via hunting licence fees rather than blow taxpayer cash on such a dubious proposition.
If they want to do something useful, they should develop a contraceptive which would work solely on politicians, Democrats, and the Mainstream Media; now THAT would be a noble use of our tax dollars!

No common sense. The Air Force Academy a couple years back opened a short season on their deer problem and environmentalist went beserko.They had pickets at the gates and news stories in all the local papers.Fact was more deer are killed on the base everyday by motorist then were shot.Its okay to splatter a deer into multiple pieces on the roadways but heaven forbid you shoot one.
Yeah, you`re right about motorists killing more deer than hunters. My brother recently wrecked his car by hitting a deer in Illinois, for example.
Of course, you cannot be logical with liberals; that`s expecting too much from them.
