A Place for Future Showings of our 9/11 Documentary
Jack Kemp
The premier of "9/11: Reflections Then and Now" in Philadelphia on July 4th went well. Nobody left and children sat still as the survivors and relatives and others spoke on screen of their experiences.
Another idea came up when a college student at the showing asked if we could come to his campus. We told him he'd have to arrange it. By that we meant that any large American college has a Student Activities department which pays a fee and travel expenses of guest speakers. The fees are often considerable, $10,000 or more.
Earlier this year, Rutgers University in New Jersey paid the outrageous Snooki from tv's "Jersey Shore" a fee of $32,000 to speak. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/42414141/ns/today-entertainment/t/rutgers-defends-snookis-appearance/
I think what our film has to offer is worth much more than anything Snooki had to say.
