Jonah Goldberg's political wisdom

Here he discusses the Buckley rule, and how it may bite us in the end. Good advice. http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/274785/right-candidate-jonah-goldberg
In denigrating straw polls, he gives an excellent example -- one which especially appeals to me: "Ron Paul’s second-place finish proves that it’s in no meaningful way a real poll, as his supporters are akin to Battlestar Galactica loyalists at a Star Trek convention, incapable of winning many converts and themselves unwilling to switch teams."
