Recently Roy Spencer and Dan Braswell authored a paper in which they showed that the Earth is losing more radiation to space than the IPCC and other alarmists have been claiming, and this did much damage to the Gang Green's favorite cause. Well, can't be putting up with that...

This is climatological racketeering, and would be aggressively investigated in any other venue. Personally, I think a crime has been committed.
Recently I chronicled an exchange between myself and a left-wing alarmist in which said interlocutor made his arguments on "concensus" and formal reviews. He argued that most scientific organizations have signed on for global warming and that six inquisitional panels cleared the Hockey Team of CRU. Hmm. He didn't argue that a large number of individual scientists think it is wrong, or that there are degrees of warming that are disputed. Ask if the planet has warmed and if humans had anything to do with it and you'll get a high number of yea's; OF COURSE Earth has warmed a small amount, and if one only considers land use and power plants it's obvious that Man had something to do with it. But this is quite different than believing in the catastrophic warming theory being peddled. These trade associations - which stand to benefit from a continuation of this - jump on board after surveying their members in this very way.
And those panels clearing the CRU? There was not one run by any other than an alarmist, and the investigations generally involved asking those at the heart of the scandal - Jones, Briffa, Wigley, etc. if they did it. When they said no, it was case closed!
The whole point is to create an image of something that is not true. Believe us and not your lying eyes!
This is more of the same. Alarmist global warming has been suffering of late, what with the CERN results coming in positive for Heinrich Svensmark's theory of cosmic rays (which, by the by, CERN officials ordered the results be given out without any interpretation, in violation of standard practice; they knew this was catastrophic for global warming theorists) and then this. The amount of global warming caused by Man is rapidly sinking into a mathematical singularity. What is clear is that we need not worry about it. That cannot, must not stand; too much has been invested in terms of time, capital, and political will.
So the Dons of the IPCC made the journal Remote Sensing an offer they couldn't refuse.
