Annabelle RIP
The kitten has passed away. She died peacefully on Sunday at noon in my mother`s arms.
Thanks to all for your concern and prayers; my mom isn`t doing as badly as I feared, and I know it is because of the prayers she received from you. God bless you all.

God rest her dear little soul. And bless your mother too -- and you, for saving that little kitten and giving it a chance at a blissful and happy year and a half of life filled with love and kindness and shelter. We are all just passing through this existence into a great mystery, all we can do is love and be loved while we are here.
Now, tell your mama to go right out and adopt a needy kitten from the animal shelter. Believe me, it sounds like you are being disloyal, but there are others out there that need homes and love.
Aussiegirl hits the mark. I too have loved animals. My youth and young adulthood were filled with a menagerie of cats and dogs.
I have long believed that those who love animals can more easily love humans. Perhaps that is why children yearn for a pet. In those small humans has been put in place by the Creator a need for love---to give, to receive.
Animals are vessels into which we pour love.

By the way, my two cats tested negative for FL, so I am greatly relieved (I was very worried, since we had watched Annabelle twice for a week at a time, and FL is passed by saliva.)
