OK, I confess, I'm not a gourmet. This ... um... festival... is not my ball of wax, so to speak. ;)
I had a much-needed laugh with this story. The town fathers must've been horrified, indeed!
The title of the festival has a very poetic ring, though.
I come from country stock, but we didn't eat mountain oysters, though now that you've mentioned the term, I remember hearing it.

I`m glad to hear you can enjoy what`s offered; there are just some things I don`t think I could eat, and testicles are high on the list. It`s really a virtue to be that adaptable!
I really wish the Republicans would attend this festival, maybe they can bring some home for their Caucus! (They are certainly lacking in them now!)
