The Truth Will Out?

Heres a great piece in Newsmax about Saddam`s missing WMD`s and the President`s terrible strategy of conceding the argument as part of his ``New Tone (deafness)``.

The fact is, Saddam had the means to reconstitute his WMD program, and in fact he had numerous banned articles, including scud missiles, centrifuges, Yellowcake Uranium, etc. Equipment from his banned programs have been turning up all over the Middle-East and Europe. Finally, no one has ever told us what was in that convoy of trucks which left Iraq for Syria immediately before the onset of the war. Did Saddam have WMD`s? You bet he did!

That the Media and the Democrats have been able to convince America that the President lied to start a war is a tribute to the power which the mainstream media still holds. We have to face it; their media is far stronger than ours. They may be on the run, but the battle is still engaged and we can still lose this thing. The left controls all the major television networks except Fox, they control most newspapers in the country, and they have their share of internet sites. We only have Fox News and AM radio, as well as a chunk of the internet and a few magazines. It`s still an uphill battle.

The Media isn`t the only battle for the hearts and minds of America; the Left has control of Hollywood, which means they control the messages in movies, on television, and in commercials. This is often overlooked by Conservatives, who dismiss this as mindless drivel. In fact, this mindless drivel fills the minds of the average person, who watches television incessantly, and gets his opinions on all subjects through this medium. In fact, movies and t.v. have a far more powerful affect because they dig at the roots of a person`s worldview, substituting a liberal outlook for traditional moral and philosophical underpinnings. Look at the sex in movies and on television, then tell me that teen pregnancy has no connection! What about the recent acceptance of homosexuality in our society? For years we have seen sympathetic gay characters on television and in the movies, and now we are seeing the mainstreaming of homosexuality. Hip-Hop music has been pushed in movies and on t.v., and everyone is shocked at the subsequent barbaric behavior of high school kids. The fact is that these kids have become enamored of the gang culture largely through Rap videos and the glorification of the gangsta rap culture. These kids didn`t learn this by reading their Bibles.

We can`t forget the Educational Establishment, either. Starting in preschool children are bombarded with liberal messages. A friend of mine sent his daughter to a ``Harry Potter`` day camp; he withdrew her because the teachers were indoctrinating her with environmentalist messages! What does Harry Potter have to do with environmentalism? This is how Academia works; liberals have sought to take over school boards and have wormed their way into school administration and, of course, we can`t forget the leftist NEA! Children are fed a continual diet of leftism, and when they graduate from High School they enter institutions which are left of most People`s Republics.

We are making some headway with education; conservatives have been opening schools, home schooling has been growing, and a number of conservative Universities have been established. We still have a long way to go on that front, but we`ve made a start.

The hard part is going to be the movie/television industry. Conservatives need to take over a major movie studio, fire all of the liberal staff, and begin putting out movies with a conservative bent. We must start advertising agencies which will encourage and support conservative thinking, and which will tap into conservative dollars-which will lead to opening new markets. Consider the advertisers on the Rush Limbaugh program; mattresses, hair replacement companies, etc. There`s never a Coke add, or any other big hitters despite the enormous audience Rush maintains. Why? Because the big Advertising firms steer clients away from that market. WE need to steer them in our direction. Conservative television, conservative movies, conservative advertising will all make money (lots of money) and will lead to a cultural renaissance. We need to get going.

Until we win the war over ALL media, we will continue to find our views being mischaracterized, and the truth being spun.

If conservative viewpoints were ever “accurately” represented in movies or any mass media format, the “word of mouth advertising” would foster an explosion of popularity among those who understand what it is.

Just look at the success of FOX news. They could cut their ad budget to near nothing and still people would know were to find news lacking a leftist spin.

I watch NBC’s (Law and Order) specifically to see former Senator Fred Thompson confuse his cast mates by offering “the truth” as an argument to various cases they are involved in. The slack-jawed looks he gets from his underlings on the show are usually priceless.

Any new TV network, news outlet, movie studio, or radio program would have a huge advantage because the public is HUNGRY for what they would be offering. They can get it no were else and instinctively recognize what they are seeing values that are similar to their own.

Nobody had ever heard of Rush Limbaugh before 1988. He offered something different from every other radio program then available. His popularity is still growing, despite plenty of competition today.

Snapple owes its success entirely to having advertised on the Rush Limbaugh program.
When it got bought by some big corporation, and quit advertising with Rush, it started losing money.
QED.
P.S. Fred Thompson would sure have been a good Supreme Court nominee.

Excellent post, Tim! You are right about the prevailing culture and the insidious effects it has. But it looks as though Hollywood is beginning to lose its grip -- the movies are not drawing audiences and all we see are remakes of remakes and endless sequels. There is no more creativity there. The public is hungry for good entertainment. I predict that Hollywood will become slowly infiltrated with --- shhh -- conservatives. These people are so brain-dead and leftist that they will continue to make movies that no one wants to see but refuse to make the entertaining and family friendly ones that people would flock to. Great writing as usual!!

Tim, expounding on your education and acceptance of the gay lifstyle points, just yesterday FOX and Friends had a man on who had objected to his kindergarten aged daughter being taught about homosexual and transgendered lifestyles (Yes Kindergarten!)and when the school invited him in to "talk" about it they had the local sheriff there who arrested him fro trespassing. The school had no intention of working with him to provide parental notification of controversial ciriculumn.

One has to wonder why so many gay people (who presumably have no children) sit on school boards across the country???
