More Catholic Apostacy
The Catholic Church is in crisis here in the United States; just witness this act of open rebellion and apostacy
by a parish in Baltimore!
Until ten years ago or so, the Bishop would have ordered this parish closed if they continued this behavior, or the Papacy would have been forced to intervene. They are directly opposing Church teaching.
How can they claim to be a Catholic parish and be at odds with the fundamentals of the Church?

Tim, as a Catholic I have been so disappointed with the leadership of The Church (including the late, great Pope John Paul II) that I am this close to throwing in the towel... It's not so much the teachings of the catechism as is it the behavior of some of the priests and much their leadership. (I have a real problem with our Archbishop in the Mpls/St. Paul).
Breaking away from Rome has always seemed too radical for me, but... The real sad part of this is that an American led revolt would give us more crap like you pointed out today instead of a gospel based revival The Church so desparately needs.
What's a Catholic boy to do?
Become Orthodox.
I heard a story that a couple of years ago, a liberal priest in a far northern parish of the Moscow Patriachate had performed a gay marriage.
The priest was instantly defrocked, and the parish church bulldozed down and burnt to ashes. That's how they dealt with it in no uncertain terms.
Become Orthodox. They don't stand for this stuff.

The reaction was to instantly defrock the priest. Then the parish church building was bulldozed down and burnt to ashes. They didn't horse around.
