No Stopping the Eternal War

CAIR and other Islamic organizations are trying to blame the genocide in Darfur on ``Zionists`` (meaning Jews), and are opposing any political solution to the troubles in the Sudan.

This shouldn`t surprise anyone; Moslems cannot oppose other Moslems when imposing Sharia, or expanding submission to Allah. OF COURSE they don`t want to stop what is happening in Darfur! It is just another battleground in their eternal war of conquest.

I believe we should have called the U.N.`s bluff on the Sudan; the Sudanese government has dreams of Jihad, and we are going to have a big problem with them if they ever gain firm control of their country. (I had an interesting e-mail argument with Jed Babbin on this a couple of years ago.) We need a policy of containment of Islam whereby we stop them from spreading. In fact, we should use force to roll them back from areas they have recently seized; this merely turns their own policies against them. Islam is rising because nobody has the courage to say ``no`` to them.

The Sudan is a strategically vital place, sitting as it does south of Egypt. The Sudan had harbored Osama Bin-Laden for years, and does not have a problem with terrorists operating out of their territory. If the Sudan should become an abode for our enemies, they will probably be able to topple Egypt and spread their radical beliefs to our more reasonable friends in the region. We should have pushed the United Nations into a military solution. If they refused, at least it would shut up our critics. Now they blame us for failing to act.

Our presence in the Sudan would have placed us at the southern edge of the Islamic world. We would then have a presence in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the South Pacific as well as in Africa. If we are to be successful in fighting a global war on terrorism, Africa is critical, and we should be positioned to act if the need should arise. Also, we would gain great favor in Sub-Saharan African nations-goodwill we will need in the future. I think we lost an opportunity.

Make no mistake about it; this Sudan/Darfur business is going to come back to bite us-and hard. We need only see what our friendly neighborhood Islamists think of matters.

"Friendly neighborhoos Islamists?"

They've got them in Dunstable, a once peaceful English town that has been turned into an Islamic hell-hole and its Christian inhabitants dhimmified:

Thanks, ROP; this is, indeed, frightening.
