Time to Defund John Boehner

Timothy Birdnow

The GOP controlled House of Representatives has caved in on the budget.

That people like Stammerer, er, Speaker Boener could not even be bothered to point out that much of the stimulus money remains unspent and should be returned to the treasury speaks volumes. He didn't stress that he was cleaning up the Democrat's mess, since they had failed to produce a budget. He didn't have the courage to stand up to the Demos and the media in the end, and he must pay for that politically. It's time to paint a bright yellow target on Mr. Boener (yellow for his cowardice).

The GOP had originally wanted $100 billion in cuts, but settled for less than half that ($38 billion). They wanted to defund the abortion mill Planned Parenthood, but settled for cutting abortion funding to the District of Columbia (and, no doubt, those who would receive an abortion in D.C. will simply go to Virginia or Maryland) http://theconservativetreehouse.wordpress.com/2011/04/08/breaking-budget-deal-reached-38-5-billion-in-cuts-no-planned-parenthood-defunding%E2%80%A6/, What exactly did he get? He didn't defund NPR as far as I can tell, nor cut funding for the EPA, which is going ahead with implementation of regulations for carbon dioxide against court order.

More than the original offer made by the GOP, granted; they had lowballed it at $32 bill, then upped the ante. When negotiating you ask for a LOT more then walk down; this bunch started low to begin with. Why are we supporting them?

It's time for Boehner to go.10:44 AM 4/9/2011
