Jane Fonda live at Barnes & Noble Aug. 10th, NY City

Jack Kemp

Jane Fonda is trying to sell her new book. Recently, when her appearance on QVC was cancelled, she came out
with statement that "I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us." http://cnsnews.com/news/article/jane-fonda-i-have-never-done-anything-hu

The trouble is, Fonda did not specify exactly what her country was: the United States - or North Vietnam (now Vietnam). This statement of hers was obviously directed at young people who may not have even been born yet when Fonda traveled to North Vietnam in 1972 and volunteered to be photographed sitting on an anti-aircraft gun aimed at American pilots. The above article further states:

"When she returned from her sojourn in Vietnam, as Time Magazine reported at the time, she accused U.S. forces of deliberately trying to bomb and destroy dikes, whose destruction could have caused the death of many civilians."
