Climate sceptics are winning the argument with the public over global warming, the world's most celebrated climate scientist, James Hansen of NASA, said in London yesterday.

If Hansen says it we are surely winning. And why not; the science is with us, not them. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, and they just don't have any. OURS is the default position, and ours is being confirmed by nature.

I was in the hospital monday through Wednesday of this week, and watched a lot of television. Animal Planet had a show about the Arctic and Sub-Arctic in Scandinavia I grew interested in - until they started in on Climate change. Amazing; they tried to make people think less Arctic ice is somehow related to human activity, rather than changes to the Arctic Oscillation and other such movements( the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation, etc.) Ice has been moving out of the Arctic, not melting, exactly. Yes, some has been melting, but that is not the principle issue here. You would think a television show would be more careful.

But they haven't ever been, not any of the television shows, not the newspapers, internet sites, none. Why is that?

Why, it's almost as if they have something they want to promote!
