There have been innumerable examples of this in history. There are Catholic Bishops who advocate for radical liberal policies, for instance. Does being a Catholic make one automatically conservative?
No, and that is why Romney is suspect. The man's track record bespeaks a liberal Republican. Why think he will be any different now - and why would we want him to be? It only makes him a hypocrite.
