A Hot Docket
Global Warming is about to go to the United States Supreme Court, and the Court may well ram the Kyoto Protocol down our collective throats, according to Iaian Murray of the Competitive Enterprise Institute.
My one quibble with this article is that Murray bows to the collective scientific wisdom, and concedes (or at least does not dispute) that anthropogenic CO2 is indeed driving the mild temperature increase in the 20th Century; it isn`t, as all regular readers of Birdblog are aware. We shouldn`t be waving the white flag over junk science. (Look at how much trouble President Bush has encountered by applying the ``move on`` approach over the years-especially the WMD`s in Iraq.)
Bad science is at the heart of the argument, and there is plenty of evidence to dispute the claims made by the leftist GW hysterics. Foolishly conceding the point means granting the moral authority to the Grifter Warming crowd, and any opposition to their agenda is then merely a tactical retreat. It is absolutely unnecessary, because the whole Global Warming edifice is a house of cards on a sand foundation, and the winds of truth can collapse it easily-provided people are exposed to it. We should not give in to a manufactured consensus.
