More vote fraud here in Missouri.
These kinds of shenanigans used to be confined to the Democrat machine districts, but since Mel Carnahan`s daughter Robin became Queen of the Vote, we are now witnessing brazen acts of fraud statewide.
This is why it is so important for conservatives to turn out at the polls; you are not just voting for linguini-spined Congressional Republicans. State races are as important-if not more so-as national campaigns, and they can have much farther reach sometimes. How did the Republicans take control of Congress in the first place? Superior ideas, sure. Newt Gingrich, true. What is overlooked is that Republicans worked diligently in the state trenches, electing governors, state reps, secretaries of State, etc. They got the redistricting done in their favor, enforced vote fraud laws, set the agenda on the state level rather than simply reacting to liberal aggression. These are the unglamorous things that are needed to engineer victory at the national level, and the `80`s and `90`s set the stage for greater things.
We need to rebuild now. The Dems spent 12 years in the cold, and they have been doing what we were doing back then. If we want to accomplish more we have to win assemble the structure from the ground, carefully fitting the building blocks together. Too many of us believed that control of Congress and the Presidency would accomplish what we wanted. It doesn`t work that way, because politicians are politicians and they will bend whichever way the wind is blowing. Once in Washington, faced with the insider mindset and cocktail party system, all but the most principled will bend to the common wisdom of ``moderation``. Also, they hate being ridiculed by the MSM, and want to please their critics. The key to dealing with this is to be found at the grassroots levels, where pressure from home outweighs pressure from Washington and the New York Times. We need to set the agenda, to bring up hungry young stars eager for a shot at the big time who can imperil the comfortable lifestyle of the elder statesmen in D.C.
What we can`t afford is to cede the grassroots to Moron.ogr and George Soros. Staying home this election cycle may or may not send a message to the Republicans, but it will certainly send a message to the Democrats, to the terrorists, to the vote thieves and leftist plutocrats, and to our enemies worldwide, as well as our erstwhile ``friends``.
If Republicans had beaten Robin Carnahan in `04 and held the Secretary of State office in Missouri, ACORN would never have been this bold. This failure at the grassroots level could cost Jim Talent his job, pass the Cloning Amendment, pass the massive Cigarette tax hike, etc. etc.
Tom Delay may still win his seat in Congress, despite the fact he isn`t running. Why? Because Republicans controlled redistricting, and were able to make a completely safe seat-just as Democrats had done here in Missouri for Dick Gephardt and William Clay when they controlled the State. Every vote counts these days!
Assuming yours isn`t erased by deceased, German Shepherds, Alzheimers patients, or the simply fictional voters created by ACORN and the other minions of Democratic thievery.
