The Real Election Winners
(From the Patriot Post)
``The biggest winners in last week’s election were the enemies of the United States, who see the results as confirmation of one of their doctrines: the United States is weak and does not have the commitment to fight a protracted war.``
Cal Thomas ++
``With the Democratic victory in the midterm elections, one big winner was the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). The American Islamic pressure group now has a chance to advance its agenda in numerous ways, with energetic water-carrying by, among others, the Speaker of the House, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and the first Muslim member of Congress.``
Robert Spencer

``How can you... justify the loss of another American life or another Iraqi life in a mission that doesn’t seem to make any sense at this point? Why stay in Iraq just to make it look good so you’ll look like a centrist party?``
MSNBC’s Chris Matthews to Howard Dean
``Your strong voice for national security, the war on terror and Iraq provides genuine leadership for our party, and I count on you to continue to lead on these vital issues.``
Nancy Pelosi endorsing John ``Redeploy`` Murtha for Majority Leader ++
``We need to begin a phased redeployment of forces from Iraq in four to six months... We have to tell Iraqis that the open-ended commitment is over.``
Carl Levin
``Since September 11, many Muslim Americans have been subjected to searches at airports and other locations based upon their religion and national origin. We must make [that] illegal.``
Nancy Pelosi
``The best way to reduce this insurgency is to get the American forces out of [Iraq]. That’s what’s driving this insurgency... [T]his war can’t be won... [T]he problems now are not military problems. There isn’t going to be any decisive victory in Iraq.``
George McGovern
``Today... [a] false truth is being spread: that most of our military personnel and our troops in Iraq are bright, motivated young people, who, with eyes wide open are defending our country from terrorists and spreading democracy.``
Charles Pinning of The Providence (RI) Journal
``This [election] is not a purely domestic issue for America, but it is the defeat of Bush’s hawkish policies in the world. Since Washington’s hostile and hawkish policies have always been against the Iranian nation, this defeat is actually an obvious victory for the Iranian nation.``
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

The Democrat Party, the media and academia have in all essentials joined with our enemies. Their goals and rhetoric are the same.
We have two wars then, one against Islam and the other against those at home who wish defeat for America.
We must win both wars.
Thanks, T-F; it`s scary how easily we kowtow to the Islamic bullies!
Mike, brilliant as always!
I cannot for the life of me understand why conservatives don`t grasp the need to pry the MSM fromt he hands of the left. There seems to be some fatalistic view that ``oh, well, there`s nothing we can do`` and that we should make no efforts whatsoever. This is ridiculous; if we buy some media outlets and news services, we can can the lefties who run things and put our own people in. The New Media can absorb the old. The Left does this all the time-whenever one of their outlets is coming up for sale they scrape the money together and buy it out. Why can`t we do likewise? As long as the MSM is against us, we`ll continue to struggle. The disappointment we endured with the Republican Congress was a direct result of media bias, and the natural fear politicians have of bad press. We can change that, but we have to make the effort. Right now I see no desire to take the appropriate action.
I fear it`s going to take something very bad to awaken the slumbering American Elephant.
