Who's on First? - possible inspiration
Jack Kemp
This is my guess as to the origins of "Who's on First."
Abbott and Costello had Jewish writers who may have gone to Hebrew school as kids. Bud Abbott may have been Jewish.
Consider this Hebrew-English vocabulary.
"Who" in Hebrew is "He" in English.
"Me" in Hebrew is "Who" in English.
"He" in Hebrew is "She" in English. Saying the English phrase "Who is she?" in Hebrew becomes "Me He?"
"Ma" in Hebrew is "What" in English.
also:
I once joked that "Rock Rega" in Hebrew, meaning "wait a minute," is the name of pop musician.
"Abba" in Hebrew is "father," like the Swedish rock group in English/Swedish.
"Ken" in Hebrew is "Yes" in English.
"Low" in Hebrew is "No" in English.
It seems I've found the plausible origin of "Who's on First" but I can't say for sure.
