Crazy Lib Rabbi disgraces self and all Jews

Jack Kemp

I don't know what to say - in polite language.

A liberal so-called rabbi - and a liberal Jewish newspaper - the Jewish Week, have insulted (again) a person of faith. This time it is none other than Tim Tebow, the devout Christian quarterback of the Broncos. I will comment on some quotes from the original article further below. But first, the Jewish Weak...er...Week has retracted the article and issued this statement:
http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2011/12/tebow-hating-rabbi-jewish-week-should.html

We apologize for posting an Opinion column on Dec. 14 by Rabbi Joshua Hammerman entitled “My Problem With Tim Tebow,” the Denver Broncos quarterback who is an Evangelical Christian. The column, in fact, violated our own standards calling for civility in posting comments on our website. The policy statement notes that “name calling in any form will not be tolerated, and comments that denigrate any religion or Jewish religious stream will always be rejected.”

The column was removed from our website later that day.

Yid With Lid has saved the original article by this so-called rabbi so that others can see their vileness and arrogance. Some quotes from it are below:
http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/p/joshua-hammarmans-bigoted-tim-tebow.html

"If Tebow wins the Super Bowl, against all odds, it will buoy his faithful, and emboldened faithful can do insane things, like burning mosques, bashing gays and indiscriminately banishing immigrants. While America has become more inclusive since Jerry Falwell’s first political forays, a Tebow triumph could set those efforts back considerably."
END

I haven't heard rubbish like this since Ed Asner got airtime on tv. This is the most arrogant tripe - and anti-Christian tripe - I have ever seen from an ordained rabbi. Hu strarich lehhitbayesh. That's Hebrew for "He needs to be ashamed of himself." A man loves Jesus and that automatically makes him want to banish immigrants and bash gays? And burn mosques? Where did this rabbi come up with this fevered swamp tripe? This column by the so-called rabbi is a hate crime in itself.

Here's another quote from the "rabbi's wisdom:"

"Tebow used to wear eye black citing Ephesians 2:8-10, which states, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith (in Jesus).” His avenue to salvation is not available to those Jews who wish to remain Jewish. "
END

Rabbi, you just found out that other religions path to God calls for that other religion's believers to actually believe in that same religion - and not Judaism's path to God? No kidding. Did you just find out that the sky is blue today as well? By this definition, you are totally intolerant of anyone else's religion - and probably your own. You are a tembel (Hebrew for "fool").

And finally, one last quote from the so-called rabbi's article (which he had to pull from the web):

"Unlike some other blue-staters, I do not fear people of faith. I fear people of certainty. The worldwide struggle going on right now is not between good and evil, but between certainty and doubt."
END

You don't fear people of faith? That's big of you. For an ordained rabbi, I would hope that is true. As for fearing people certain in their faith, you are wrong, rabbi. Certainty is not the problem. Intolerance is. Someone being certain in their faith doesn't automatically make them intolerant - like you. You seem to value uncertainty - also known as agnosticism - rather than faith.

What else can I say? The world seems to be getting crazier every day. This idiot rabbi also talks about his favorite NFL team, the New England Patriots. I don't think the Patriot ownership wants to be dragged into his foul opinion piece.

Let's hope we hear less and less from this clown.
