The Wrath of Tom
(Hat tip: Steve Rankin)
Republicans thong sandal Mitt Romney won this Presidential straw poll in South Carolina, but what I find interesting is that Tom Tancredo, the ``enforce the border`` candidate, came in second! (Newt Gingrich batted clean-up in third.) We were told that this election was a repudiation of ``nativist`` enforcement first policies, yet Tancredo placed so highly here in S. Carolina. Hmmm.
Perhaps the Great Silent Majority is about to speak?

So "Mitt Happens" Romney got 11 of 30 votes from a Republican executive committee in one South Carolina county. Wow! That and a dollar will get him a nice hot cup of coffee. Still, it ain't bad for a northeastern liberal.
Anyone who wants the 'skinny' on Romney (the only candidate who's lost an election to Ted Kennedy) should read Selwyn Duke's Jan. 5 essay at http://NewsWithViews.com.
Interestingly, Tom Tancredo's unofficial Web site is being run by some young people from Michigan: http://tancredo4prez.blogspot.com.
Jim Gilmore, the former tax-cutting governor of Virginia, has also formed a presidential exploratory committee: http://draftgilmore.org.
