No RINOplasty
Just when you thought it was safe to get back into the political waters, President Bush throws in more chum to feed the political sharks which have been eating unwary American bathers. Our old friend Jay from Stop the ACLU tells all about it.
President Bush had finally gone on the offensive with his enemies, and, silly us, we thought the man was growing a political spine. Foolish to get our hopes up! He has caved completely to that camera-hogging lick spittle, John McCain, and, once again, allowed the Rino wing to hijack U.S. policy.
Doesn`t McCain understand? He has just sent a signal to the enemy that they have nothing to fear from capture! NOTHING! NOT ONE BLASTED THING! They now know that capture means better food, better living conditions, air conditioning, running water and no fear of interrogation. They really are getting a taxpayer-funded vacation now!
Remember, these are not military regulars, but partisans and terrorists. They have no claim on the Geneva Convention, nor on the rights of ordinary citizens. It had always been recognized that an army had the right to do whatever necessary with such scum; during the Mexican War, for example, General Winfield Scott ordered the immediate execution of any Mexican caught fighting out of uniform. This was fairly standard practice. Partisans and terrorists use the decency of their enemies against them. They don`t have any claim on mercy or decent treatment, since they offer none themselves.
Of course, we don`t want to become barbarians, but we need to have credibility. It was said that the enemy was terrified of going to Gitmo, largely because they didn`t know what we were doing there and they feared the worst. We were using some aggressive interrogation techniques, but these could hardly be considered torture: water boarding, running the a/c on high, sleep deprivation, scantily clad females (shoot, remember the 911 attackers PAID FOR that privelege in Florida shortly before they hijacked the aircraft), wearing dog collars, etc. Does this compare to cutting off limbs, rapes, electric genital shock (well, maybe John Kerry has done that), etc. being done to loved ones as well as the torture victim? Does MadCain really see parity?
The President has probably signed on to avoid having to veto the bill, and because he figures we have won in Iraq. We may have, but the War on Terror is far from over and we`re going to need those aggressive techniques in the future. We have to extract information out of very hard, determined men. Gentleness will not work with these people, and innocent lives are on the line. How many innocents will perish to stroke John McCain`s vanity?
The RINO`s have been a thorn in our side for too long; it`s time to perform RINOplasty, and reduce that unsightly bunch. The President had an opportunity to do just that with a veto-unfortunately he has again lost his nerve.
When will George Bush learn that turning the cheek in Washington guarantees two black eyes? He just doesn`t seem to understand that blood in the water draws sharks.

This no-torture bill takes the teeth out of necessary interrogation. American lives will be lost as a result, IMO.
As sad day for America, but the bleeding hearts are smugly satisfied, aren't they?
Great post, Tim. Man they're trying to destroy this country or at least our ability to protect it. Pisses me off.
What's the President to do when his own party is a bunch of panty "wastes" on everything?
This topic - which the media is salivating over - put's Bush in the position of having to answer this question...
"So, George, yes or no, have you stopped beating your wife?"
Still, Tim your are right, Bush has got to stand up to these media-pigs in his own party. Just when it looked like he was going back on the offensive he caves - aarrggghhh!
thanx sharing post
