Arbour Day; Can`t See the Forest For the Trees

The United Nations is a corrupt, impotent organization, as we all know. Here is just one more example of how useless it really is; instead of dealing with what is happening in refugee camps in Darfur, instead of demanding an end to rape and sodomizing of innocent women, the great thinkers at ``Man`s last, best hope`` find a niftier solution; just give `em all abortions when they get pregnant!

Louise Arbour, the U.N. high commissioner for human rights, told Reuters Thursday that "The situation (in Darfur) is poor, bad and very alarming and what is particularly sad is to see no progress and a deterioration of the situation."

But instead of increased security, increasing humanitarian aid, peace deals to stop the conflict or moving refugees to other areas, Fetters says abortion is the solution.

"Given the prevalence of sexual and gender-based violence in Darfur, why are safe abortion services ... not provided at all refugee/ IDP health facilities?" she asks in an op-ed published Thursday by Oxford University.

"[T]he question of access to safe abortion as an option for victims of rape is not openly discussed in any health facility receiving international humanitarian assistance in Darfur, Chad or elsewhere," she complains.

It`s obvious Mrs./Miss Arbour cares more about her feminist/abortion agenda than about the real-life victimization of women.

The U.N. won`t lift a finger to stop the genocide (choosing, instead, to NOT call it genocide so they don`t have to act) nor will they back up their demands for an end to the crimes being committed. In their moral righteousness they hurl invectives against the United States for ending the torture and rape rooms of Iraq, while recommending abortions for rape victims in the Sudan.

Does anyone in his right mind still believe the U.N. has any moral worth or relavency?

Which asks the question; why does President George W. Bush think this organization is the proper venue for dealing with Iran? (I refer to the above.)

Abortion and birth control were pushed by Margaret Sanger precisely for this reason -- to elminate as many undesirable "brown and black" people as possible. Liberalism is a religion -- and abortion is its sacrament.
